The RC340 and RC340 expert platforms are bundled with an SD card which, when delivered, contains some demonstration bit and data files. This article contains all the files needed to restore this card to its original state.
The zip files in the downloads section below contains batch files and data files that allow the demo SmartMedia card to be constructed.
These files are intended for use on an RC340 and an RC340E (with touch screen) only.
1. Unzip the download to a folder on your PC.
2. Ensure the RC340 or RC340E board is plugged in and powered up, with SD card installed.
3. Run the batch file "prog_rc340e.bat" (expert boards) or "prog_rc340.bat" (standard boards) from the root directory of the unpacked zip file.
4. Wait - the programming process may takes a considerable length of time.
5. Once completed, press the reset button on the RC340. a menu screen should appear (either on the touch screen on or DVI OP 0).
6. Select a demo from the list using the touch screen or the buttons. on an RC340E tap the demo description to run the demo, on the standard board use button 0 to configure the selected demo.
Note: The SD card on the RC340 uses a FAT32 file system. If you encounter any difficulty loading the demos using the supplied batch file simply format the card using any PC with an SD card reader and manually copy the files to the card.
